My Gear

The gear I use definitely isn’t the most advanced but I enjoy shooting with it and gets the job done.

Most of my setup was bought second hand

Canon EOS 90D

This is my main (and only) camera body, though I’ve started shooting with the Point and Shoots down the list a bit more recently as I don’t often have time for dedicated trips with the DSLR

Canon EF-S 18-135mm IS USM f/3.5-5.6

I honestly have no clue whether or not I need to type out everything about a lens when I want to talk about it. That aside, I do really like this lens. It’s incredibly versatile and hasn’t given me any reason to replace it as my main lens

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 III STM

Yup, No IS, STM Af and it doesn’t even have an official page on canon’s website anymore (check out this Amazon link). You probably think I was kind of stupid for buying this one brand new, and to be honest I sorta did as well after I realised it didnt have IS. But I’ve used it on a few trips and it proved to not be that bad, maybe even good. It was only $300 (i say only) so I think it was pretty worthwhile.

Canon Powershot SX240HS

Boy is this ever old. It’s been around for over ten years now. This was my first “proper” camera that wasn’t attached to a phone. Its a decent point and shoot that I now keep on me in case I need to grab a photo. (that’s what I’d like to think anyways).

Canon Powershot G10

I know I said the SX240 was old, but this is somehow even older. I pulled it out awhile ago and tried it out but assumed it was damaged due to a very VERY blue white balance. Turns out it was just set to colour balance for tungsten. So now I have another neat little point and shoot that I carry around in my pocket.

iPhone 12 Pro (2020)

Bit of an upgrade from the SE I used to have. Handy to shoot with and surprisingly capable.

Vanguard Vesta Aspire 25

The bag with which I entrust my gear. I keep my EOS 90D in here along with both lenses
